TIMEMUN 2026 was held from February 16-17, 2026, with 300 students from over 30 schools participating in 10 dynamic committees. Traditional topics and committees ranged from the ethics of chocolate production and modern slavery in the WEF to addressing wildlife trafficking and safety in the Horn of Africa in the African Union, to female political leadership and transnational drug trade in the EU, indigenous languages and tribal rights in the UNPFII, a NATO committee focused on North Korea tensions and maritime security, and BRICS members creating a BRICS wide cryptocurrency and climate change impact on developing countries.

The conference also included several specialized and crisis committees: How to Train Your Dragon (protecting endangered dragons and dragon territory); Interplanetary Forum (cyborg rights; endangered alien species); a forum of US presidents throughout history trying to make America Great again, and a two cabinet crisis of criminals trying to escape from prison and a cabinet of detectives trying to stop them.
One of the highlights of TIMEMUN was the Global Village, with twenty embassies, cultural institutes, universities, NGOS and other opportunities highlighted for students. TIMEMUN Secretariat and participants appreciate the participation of the embassies of Azerbaijan, Canada, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Norway, Poland, the Philippines, Slovenia, Sweden and the United States, as well as Tel Aviv University, the Korean Studies Program at Hebrew University, Arava Institute, Tuesdays for Trash, TLVMUN, and the TOKA and CFP summer programs.

This year’s TIMEMUN included additional innovative components, such as the Writers Matter Writing competition, with Emanuel Ester Balavie (Agamim) and Christina Loulou (Salvatorian Sisters) winning first place for their piece “The Museum of Forgotten Voices”, Sabeel Hawash (Bashaer HS) and Ella Gilad (Ostrovski HS) winning second place with “Across the Line”, and Omri Portnoy (Agamim) and Ngwa Victory Ateh, (Government Bilingual HS-Bamendankwe, Cameroon) taking third place with “The Sound of Peace.” The conference participants also raised over 3,500 Sheqels for charity. In addition to the Best, Outstanding and Distinguished Delegate awards and Best position papers, conference wide awards included the best chairs, admins, and the Diplomat of the conference.

Lali Gafni, from Ulpanat Darchei Noam (Petah Tiqva), who participated as part of the Young Ambassadors delegation, said that she enjoyed meeting all the nice students, and that the party was really fun. Oren Gross from Ironi D (Modi’in), a member of the Debate for Peace delegation, highlighted the opening and closing ceremonies as particularly fun for him. Rivkah Hanssen, advisor of the Misgav MUN club, who spoke on behalf of the advisors at the closing ceremony, summarized the conference with the quote “Life teaches us to make good use of TIME, while TIME teaches us the value of LIFE”, noting that the problem-solving of MUN and addressing global challenges should “help us all to be grateful for all the good events and experiences we have in our own lives.”
