Awards and Competitions

TIMEMUN will feature a number of awards and competitions. 

Competitions:

  • Peace writing competition ($500 cash prize):
    • Application deadline: Jan. 15, 2025.
    • Submission in Arab-Jewish pairs, between 250 and 2500 words, on the theme “Hope”

  • Peace proposal competition ($1000 cash prize): Full details coming soon
    • Application deadline: Jan. 20, 2025.
    • Work in teams up to 5 students to submit a peace proposal
    • Submissions chosen based on originality, plausibility, comprehensiveness, and other criteria, to win cash prize.

TIMEMUN award policy in 2025:

  1. Best Position Paper (1 per committee)
  2. Best of Delegation (1 per Delegation of minimum 5 delegates)
  3. Best Delegate (1 per committee)
  4. Outstanding Delegate (1-3 per committee)
  5. Best First Time delegate (1 delegate per conference)
  6. Best Chair (1-2 per conference)
  7. The Diplomat Award (1-2 per conference)
