Meet The Team

Maria Cheremina: Secretary General

Maria Cheremina was born in Moscow and has lived in Israel for the past 12 years. She has done MUN for four years and has been to more than 25 conferences. Initially, she joined so she could debate with her friends, but she began enjoying learning more about countries as well as different global events. It also provided her an opportunity to improve her public speaking abilities and work on her ability to express a plethora of different viewpoints. She is also a very studious individual and has a hobby in learning and reading. At school, she takes 5 AP courses in subjects she enjoys: Microeconomics, Calculus AB, Statistics, Research, and Art. Other than that, she is part of three sports teams (Tennis, Volleyball, and Swim), in which she participates through the year and travels for tournaments.
Maria is hyped to see everyone at the conference and is wishing everyone the best of luck with debate.

Ethan Moncartz: Undersecretary General:

Ethan Moncarz was born in Paris, France, and moved to Singapore when he was 5 months old. He lived there for the next 15 years before making Aliyah to Israel in 2022. He is nearly 17 and is in the 11th grade (יא). Ethan is a huge engineering buff, especially when it comes to aerospace, automotive and military engineering. When it comes to sports, Ethan does only three things: volleyball, rugby and gym. This year, Ethan loves deciphering complex factors when it comes to conflicts, so the Security Council is by far his favourite committee. At the moment, along with some regular classes, Ethan is taking 4 AP classes (equivalent to 5 יחידות): AP Calculus AB, AP Language and Composition, AP Seminar and Ap Chemistry. Ethan plans to bring his A-game in ensuring that every delegate is able to experience TIMEMUN in all its glory.
