The committee’s topic today revolved around the Iran- Iraq War.
Delegates tried to find a solution to te threat that Iran poses not only to Iraq, but to all UN countries. The delegate of the USSR states: “In order to achieve world peace, we must help Iraq win this war.”.
The debate became more heated as many problems arose: Should the UN even be discussing the war? What about the siege? Noted also should be the war crimes and chemical weapons being used…
The committee ended with two resolution blocks, supporting each a different side in the war. The resolution supporting the defeat of Iran, and helping Iraq in doing so, got most of the votes and won.
After resolutions, the committee took a turn and made a debate on the alien invasion that the Marvel team suggested yesterday!
